I am a book lady!  I love everything about reading and books!

I also LOVE football!   My heart is with the Bengals!  I’m from the Cincinnati area so Joe Burrow is my quarterback!  Who Dey!! All that said, we didn’t make it to playoffs this year!  We rallied hard at the end, but our slow start just kept us from the playoffs.

Although the Bengals are my favorite team, I enjoy many teams throughout the year.  I play on two fantasy football teams and that gives me a love and knowledge of other players and teams.  The Eagles are one of my favorites, they are so fun to watch, and they are super talented.

I was so excited to see A.J. Brown reading a book during the playoff game (playing the Green Bay Packers) on the sidelines.  It had America wondering, what is he reading?  It wasn’t long until the picture of him reading went viral and we found out he was reading a book called Inner Excellence: Train Your Mind for Extraordinary Performance and The Best Possible Life by Jim Murphy

Can you imagine the authors surprise when he woke up to find out his book had skyrocketed to the top of the Amazon bestsellers’ list?  I love when something exceptional happens for an author that wasn’t expected.  I love to watch videos where authors find out their book was picked up by a famous person for their book club or it went viral on Tik Tok or something like this where the author didn’t see it coming in the least.  What a gift that must be!

“It is amazing and a real gift and an honor,” Murphy said in an interview with the TODAY Show on Jan. 15.

The book is a great for motivation and is on my productivity book list.  It provides tips on how to overcome mental blocks and find a life of purpose and fulfillment.

Brown has spoken about how his teammates have started referring to the book as “The Recipe.”  “This game is 90% mental and 10% physical for me,” Brown said. “I bring it to every game, and I read it between each drive. I use it to refocus and lock in despite what may transpire in the game, good or bad.”
I have seen players get pumped up with music, (Playlists), prayer, and now a book!!  That makes this crazy book lady’s heart very happy!
